10-Year Conversion Programme
A structured, phased approach to marine vessel electrification — from regulatory alignment and pilot deployments through to full commercial fleet conversion and international replication.
Programme Architecture
The Navyra Group electrification programme is structured across two discrete five-year phases. Phase 1 establishes the technical, regulatory, and commercial foundations — validating conversion methodologies, deploying pilot vessels, and building the shore-side charging infrastructure required for scale. Phase 2 leverages those foundations to execute full commercial fleet conversion, expand infrastructure regionally, and replicate the programme model internationally.
Foundation, validation, and pilot deployment. Regulatory frameworks established, first conversions completed, charging infrastructure commissioned.
Commercial scale, regional expansion, and international replication. Full fleet targets achieved, IMO 2050 interim compliance confirmed.
Phase-by-Phase Milestones
Foundation & Pilot Deployment
Phase 1 establishes the technical, regulatory, and commercial foundations for the programme. Key workstreams include regulatory engagement, conversion methodology validation, pilot vessel deployments, and initial shore-side charging infrastructure.
Programme Launch
Formal programme initiation, governance structure established, regulatory engagement commenced with maritime authorities.
Regulatory Framework
IMO and flag-state compliance framework finalised. Type approval pathways confirmed for target vessel classes.
Pilot Vessel Selection
First cohort of 12 pilot vessels selected across three vessel classes. Conversion design packages completed.
First Conversions Completed
Initial pilot vessel conversions completed and sea trials commenced. Performance data collection begins.
Shore-Side Infrastructure
Phase 1 charging infrastructure commissioned at 8 port facilities. Grid connection agreements executed.
Commercial Fleet Rollout
Commercial fleet conversion programme commences. 50 vessels targeted in first commercial cohort.
Technology Optimisation
Phase 1 performance data analysed. Battery system and power management upgrades deployed across fleet.
Phase 1 Target Achieved
100 vessel conversions completed. Phase 1 emissions reduction targets confirmed. Phase 2 capital raise initiated.
Target Vessel Classes
The programme addresses three primary vessel classes, each with a tailored conversion methodology and technology specification.
Harbour & Ferry
Under 500 GT
Highest conversion priority. Short routes and predictable duty cycles optimise battery economics.
Coastal Cargo
500 – 3,000 GT
Hybrid-electric architecture for longer routes. Battery-dominant with diesel range extender.
Offshore Support
3,000 – 10,000 GT
Full electric for DP operations. Hybrid for transit. Largest battery systems in programme.
